Do it yourself faux painting results can be disappointing

Faux painting is a style of painting that simply allows people to create a wall covering that closely resembles a more expensive decorating medium. For example, suede and marble walls are often beautiful, yet impractical and/or overly expensive. Faux painting allows home and business owners to create a rich look without the added expense or upkeep. The challenge with faux painting is to actually make it look real. Too often, do it yourself faux painting kits leave people disappointed with the results. Too often, amateur faux painting efforts look cartoonish.
